Nick is a Greek-Australian high school student with ambitions to become a world class soccer player. Christina Papadopoulos is the new Greek teacher, caught between traditional Greek expectations and her own feelings as a woman in the 1990s. Together they take on the school's racist sportsmaster who is determined that Australian Rules football be the only official sport played. The Heartbreak Kid is a warm-hearted, sexy comedy about two people discovering each other, themselves, and the future.
